yeah I don't think you can turn a .swf into a video. However the flash video files .fla can be converted or played on the archos as is in the video folder.

not really, all archos says is flash enabled, not that it will play every flash file flawlessly, they're not really lying or misleading. Plus another part of the iphone ban was because it doesn't use java which is widely used on the net as well, not just that it doesn't have flash.

Sound quality is good, but if you're dropping that kind of cash into the headphones and amp I would suggest another player. One designed just for audio with a huge HDD to store all your audio in FLAC or WAV, if you care about sound quality that much I would say Cowon D2 is your best bet.

As said above, 500mA would be ideal for USB charging, the wall charger that comes with the docking station has an output of 5V and 2.0A, so if you go out and buy one I wouldn't exceed 2A. 2A is pretty good and charges my 605 in 3hours.

It all depends how you set it up to record, if you hook it up to the video out on the TV then the TV and sat receiver must both be on to record. If you set it up to the video out on the receiver then the TV doesn't have to be on but the receiver does.

any combination of artist, album, title, genre, and year should work on the archos. Though I don't really know, to me /Music/artist/album/title seems the best and most logical but that's mainly because I decide what band I feel like listening to before what song.
