Metal Archos Case

Does anyone know of, or know where to find a Metal ruggudized Archos case. Kinda like the old ones for palms and such, that are padded aluminum. I travel A LOT, and my luggage takes a serious beating. On a few occasions I have forgotten to take my archos out of my luggage, I would love to not have to worry about it getting banged up. I never pocket the archos, just use it while sitting in the airplane. So it doesn't have to be tiny, I have a 605. Thanks!

ive not seen any fitted metal cases for the players, what ive got is one of the tiny metal brief cases (my wifes ex makeup box), i put some padded foam in and the player sits nicely in there. you can pick up these boxes pretty cheaply in general stores like wilkinsons here in the uk was the last place i noticed them. i will have a look and post a link if i find any.

very similar to what i use but mines a bit shallower, i will get some pics up if i get the time tomorrow

I don't know about a metal case.
I bought a Pelican case #1060 with the pluck foam.
It holds my 605 and fm transmitter and a few other items
very securely. I think it was about $20 on there site.
I take it with me in the car for about 8 hours a day
with no probs at all.

FYI, metal case will interfere with the wifi antenna. Just so you are aware of that potential problem.

Yeah pelican's are sick I have one for my 605, the foam comes somewhat precut into cubes you just finish the cuts on the corners and remove them to fit the 605, fits pretty snug and secure.

i just want to store it in the case, i always take it out completely when in use. Rampers have a rather bad propensity toward throwing our suitcases. haha. which pelican are you using? I think the 1020 will fit the archos itself just about perfect.

I got the 1400 it's pretty big but I use it to hold bigger speakers and extra juice and I need one that's water tight as I listen while canoeing in the summer, it's pretty much crush proof, mine tumbled down a 15 ft rock face, had the archos in my hand but speakers and battery dock were perfectly fine and case definitely survived just a few scratch's and scrapes. they're really durable.

Damn, I have never posted pics before. Cant figure it out......
I was going to get a smaller Pelican case just for the 605 itself, but decided it would be nice
to carry the fm trans usb cable stylus ect. in the case itself.
