Re: Flash 10 for mobile devices - Youtube Flash10 support
I am not sure which world you are living in. Users should be happy when they have to wait for a year to have one major functionality working according to you post.
This should quiet a few folks that keep questioning why Youtube and other video sites aren't working anymore and why Archos isn't ...

Re: how to watch stuff ive recorded
Do you have a mini-dock, or docking station of some sort? You will need that to play movies externally on a television.

What you are suggesting is that we save money to buy product from a company with most crappy service.
You seem to have not paid attention to anything I wrote in my previous post.

Re: How long does it take for Archos to repair your device?
It all depends on a couple of variables -- what is wrong with your device, and how busy the repair center is at the time of repair.
Plan for about 30-40 days on avg. I've been through the process a few times ranging from 14-15 days to over a month. Just be patient, plan for a 30-40 day turn around ...

Re: Flash 10 for mobile devices - Youtube Flash10 support
Honestly ppl give it a rest and calm down..
Gen6 devices are older devices -- amazing in their time, being fully functional web devices and all [and still are for all intents and purposes] -- but obviously not the focus of archos' forward momentum. Yeah, its kind of a bum deal that they haven't ...

Re: Archos 5 and Archos 7 FIRMWARE v 1.7.02
Most ppl say 1.6.5x is the most stable, but I havent had any problems with the latest firmware 1.7.11. Just keep in mind that the internet browsing capabilities of AVOS isn't the greatest on gen6 devices in general. You'll encounter occasional page freezes, and flash10 is currently not supported by ...

you could go grab an FMremote -- comes with a headphone jack.
You could RMA the device, Im sure it would still be cheaper to RMA it than to buy an Ipod

Re: Ebook reader widget
hah. nice one. archos fans has seemingly banned this site link. I found the reader -- looks pretty nice, I'll have to try it out if I can get around to it.

Re: Download Spz0's E17 Illume build (A5IMT) *updated*
The image download is pretty slow, any interest in offering a torrent of it?
Update: issues with r2 build.
mplayer does not run and hence quasar isn't working either

Only thing I can suggest is tweak with your volume settings in archoshelper, as well as the gpe-sound setting.
Also look at the volume levels in quasar itself.
Good Luck :)

Re: Download Spz0's E17 Illume build (A5IMT) *updated*
yes indeed it does.
tell me something -- when you were on the old build (matchbox/gpe), did you have headphone sound? Im thinking it may be that you need to configure your mplayer's codec? o.0

by sound -- do you mean through the speaker? or headphones?
It defaults to headphones -- if you want to hear through the speaker, you'll have to set that manually in the archos helper prior to playback. ;)

ya know, give me a bit, and I'll re-upload the ipk files, and a separate tarball for the source files. makes more sense. :)
