how to watch stuff ive recorded

I figured out how to record on my Archos 5 .But cannot seem to be able to show the recorded stuff on my TVs.
Im 72 yrs old & pretty computer dumb .Can anyone please help.
I GOT THIS THING SO I COULD PUT MOVIES IN TO WATCH WHEN IM CAMPING .

Do you have a mini-dock, or docking station of some sort? You will need that to play movies externally on a television.

I Have the Archos dvr station.

Install your video cables into the back of your docking stations output connectors. If you are using the composite cables (Yellow for Video, Red and white for Audio) they are the easiest to use. Connect the other end of the cables to your TV's video inputs. Yellow for video, red and white for audio, Put your archos into the docking station, a popup screen should come on to the screen saying "Change to TV out" press the yes icon. now go back to your TV and press your TV input button (Remote or on the TV) until your arcos shows up on your TV. Use the arcos remote to operate your arcos on your TV. I hope this helps.

I had to send my archos to get repaired so I dont have it in front of me. could someone please post how to change the output settings from composite /s-video/ component on here in case his is not set to composite. If anybody can explain it better, please post it..

Do you have a DVD player with a USB port ??? I can plug my A5 imt into the USB port on my DVD player and call up a menu of all video files. I select the one I want to watch and bobs your auntie. I usually record most of my video files in DIVX .You will see this format on most up to date DVD players. works like a charm.

Thanks guys .I just ordered the mini dock as Archos told me its easier than the dvr docking station.
