Its now a simple aos file to install now, and you can revert fairly easily. You won't lose DRM as well, which means, no loss of warranty.

I have tried to dual boot a couple of times now, and end up with various remnants of file cluttering up my system. all I have is the DTI file,tux logo,GF mask logo and rootfs littering the games file.....

Have a look and check it out, works with .lit files to Archos OPF HTML

Off now to load it to my Windoze box and see if I can get it to run.....

I've installed an Ebook reader on my rev199 Illume build - EPDFviewer - works pretty well. ;)

I think my problem is down grading the Firmware from 1.7.11, I can't get the patch to work in root.
there is a lot of remnant files kicking about in the DTI games file. I can see the TUX log the GF face logo the rootfs and patch files all in place but I am unable to activate the patch in media/disk My drive started at SDC I'm now at SDG
I'll give it another go on my day off.

hah. nice one. archos fans has seemingly banned this site link. I found the reader -- looks pretty nice, I'll have to try it out if I can get around to it.

If you have a look on google for the top 100 e-books from the BBC you'll have plenty to go on.
I managed to get the opf screen up and running but was unable to load any books.
looks as if I'm running a screen shot or something.

Just remembered I found these books through a Google Hacks widget I loaded to my A5 imt.
