Try to run a recovery scan disk.... cause formatting it should be done directly on the device with the on board option.... you can do it from the pc but its not the ideal situation...

Anyway be sure to back up every folder you have, if you can access them... and then format it...

You have to copy the files inside of the Photo folder on the Archos....

(you can move them directly with your av500 but its easier to do it from a computer)

Be patient with your questions...

You can transfer any file to the archos just like you would with a pen-drive (a mass storage class device)

Just copy the files into the folder according to what it is... (if its a song, copy it under Music Folder, if its a picture, then copy the file into the ...

The problem is not only the make... and lense.. and all...

The real issue here is that the AV500 is limited to 640x480 res. of Video Recording... whatever the source is (Rec. Dock / Video Camera / Traveler Adapter, Line In)

The original one is discontinued by Archos but you can probably find ...
