Is there a plugin required or site problems?

I get errors on almost every stream.

One is even wmv8.

No but what it could be is that you connection is not strong enough. What kind of router do you use?

Sometimes the portal site wont show.

When it shows, the tv channels wont play except for galaxy cartoon.

The Archos Browser Portal is great but I am not able to access certain sites that I was able to previously. This is in spite of the fact that my home router signal is strong and from my laptop access to most of the Portals are fine. For example, I can never bring up ITN News whereas from my laptop there is no problem. BBC World always seems to hesitate and stutter however. I do have the latest Firmware installed. Appreciate any solutions or suggeations that you may have.

You could add:
www.archive.org/details/movies

There are tons of movies/videos that you can download as well as stream. To stream, just click the download link on the left and then choose "Play".

As well, you could add:
www.archive.org/details/audio

I haven't tested any of these out yet, so I'm not sure how they will work.

Lastly, you can add:

There are tons of ebooks to download and/or read.

I updated the User Portal with all submited links from this forums and the portal itself.

I also added a great site to view on-line music videos in divx high quality.

It's the Music Video Base in the Video > Music category.

Use the search to find your video, clic on the video and in the next page at the botton of the video frame clic on Download Video to stream it.

If you have one the two last firmwares for our 605 (1.7.06 or 1.7.13) it seems that Archos has reduced the buffer for internet video streaming or something like that so if some videos plays choppy just pause it some seconds (to increase the buffering) and then play it again.

Any updates regarding this issue? It still exists in the two newest updates, 1.8.03 & 1.8.05. Has anyone reported this problem to Archos?
