Never used it for a prolonged duration. 2 x 30 minute train rides then perhaps 20 minutes in the evening. Have a decent Tuff-Luv case for it so surprised this has happened. Its not a huge deal at the moment but my fear is that the shadow will spread.

My Archos 70 screen protector came from Tuff-Luv. Absolutely perfect you'd hardly know its there except the screen is easier to wipe of fingerprints.

There is a volume control widget with Widgetsoid, it gives different levels for media, alarm, ringer etc. The alarm on my phone after using this widget was louder but I don't know if it'll fix the particular issue you have with the 32. Worth a shot.

One of the Widgets you get with Widgetsoid locks the screen in landscape..is it possible to lock the screen on this Archos 70 in portrait mode?

I have ordered from Dealextreme before and they are slow, but amazingly cheap!

Yeah aGibbets can be frustrating for that arrow moving against the death clock but pulling your finger off the screen vertically helps at the right moment..

Download JustPictures! from the market and never use Gallery again.

aGibbets game is great fun you have to shoot an arrow at the rope to let the hanging man drop. You can of course hit the bloke instead and be rewarded with some man-screams..great free fun and plays well on the Archos.

This site worked fine for me, giving me an option between my Archos 70 and ZTE Blade. I installed a game on the Archos but wasn't connected to the wi-fi, 15 minutes later I put the Blade's portable hotspot on and it downloaded to the Archos then no problem.

I have that toggle from Widgetsoid (excellent free widgets), but when you disable the default screen orientation on the Archos is landscape. The lock within Kindle seems to be upside-down Archos in portrait mode. Hmm
