Lol, you can turn it off on the main screen (all sound, sound effects only, no sound), and it'll remember the setting for next time.

Its one of those things, without sound you dont get the full effect at first, but i understand it gets anoying when you listen to it for ages lol!

my b in law who is in IT told me after you root and set the cpu to 1000 to back in to debugging and uncheck it and this should get rid of most freezes. since i have been doing this my freezes have ended. you wiwill need to do this after each reboot.. ;)
