Re: Black Screen on video Files
Hi!
I bought the HD Cinema Plug-in days ago and have the same problem. MKVs are not played properly. Black screen only, black screen with audio, video and audio desync, in these MKVs subtitles are not displayed.
I'll get the codification of all to theses MKV files and post it soon in order to know ...

Re: Archos 5 gets a failing review at CNET
Hi!
The guy didn't test the videos you can get in the "pirate" community in depth :P. But finally, he's got the same dissapointing feeling.
I don't know what to do with my device. I bought it in the Archos Web and I have no response from its technical support.
Worst of all, I'm not french, I'm ...

Hi all!
Yesterday afternoon I kept on testing the device. I created in the Archos Video folder new 5 folders: DIVx, MPEG4, AVI, OGM and MKV and downloaded different video files of these formats.

Re: Dissapointing Device A5IT
Thanks a lot Eagle 1.
Really I don't need the FM Transmitter. In Spain radio music sucks :P. I have a GPS in my HTC HD Touch and prefer Android instead of any version of Windows Mobile. I really bought A5IT to replace my iTouch second generation. I'm really interested in the multimedia part of the ...

Hi again!
First of all, I think objectivity must never been lost. You can be Admin of this forum and being pro Archos but is needed to have feet on the ground.

Re: Dissapointing Device A5IT
Hi again!
I don't think A5IT are able to play the 98% of these kind of files. In any case, Archos ought to specify how the device need these video files coded in order to reproduce them properly.
What is popular or not is completely subjective depending on your movie tastes. There are other posts ...

Re: Dissapointing Device A5IT
Hi Chengbin.
I've contacted few moments ago with technical support of Archos via email. I'll wait for their answer. If they can guarantee a new firmware version that solves all of this problems I can wait until then (if not takes too long).

Hi Gurry!!!
Thanks for answering.
