Black Screen on video Files
Black Screen on video Files
Most of my videos that i try to play will just show up with a black screen and it will only play the audio. i was wondering if it could be that some was in 720p and i had to buy the plug'in? that happens for all my mkv. files as well and i have the update for H.264 after i registered as well. any suggestions?
Re: Black Screen on video Files
Same thing happened to me before I purchased the plug-in, so I'd say yes...

Hi!
I bought the HD Cinema Plug-in days ago and have the same problem. MKVs are not played properly. Black screen only, black screen with audio, video and audio desync, in these MKVs subtitles are not displayed.
I'll get the codification of all to theses MKV files and post it soon in order to know what is bad in these MKV video files.

Im in the process of uploading 5 different MKV files to archos each with different faults, including this one and also some which cause the archos to completely freeze. Check out the details of my dvd's in the firmware bugs section.Gwagain wrote:Hi!

I get that screen to the thing is that sometimes it is on files that I played before, and, when I reboot the system it starts to play correctly again.
Re: Black Screen on video Files
yup exact same problem for me. i brought my A5A for mkv. because i watch alot of anime and i put it on there for trips and the road. but my subtitles wont play at all but when it hit the pause button they show right up for some reason but thats no good. Im still gonna buy the the Plug-in but maybe it wont solve my problem?Gwagain wrote:Hi!
