I stopped purchasing Archos from the 605 wifi. I have had lots of problems with it, and tech support for me were useless. If you don't need to record from the TV take a look at the Dell streak. It may be the USB lead/cable I had the same symptoms and it was my usb lead that was faulty .

Unless there is a changing of the mindset, the concept of plug-ins will not go away. It will just be replaced by the terminology of "apps". Interesting move from them. I get the selection of Windows in light of the announcement of 2 new laptops, continuing their expansion in to this space.
