Short answer: Unzip and Browse :D Longer answer: qood question... what I did was unzip to \data\wiki on the archos, then use the file browser to open the \data\wiki\index.htm file each time I want to use it... But another option would be to unzip the file to \info on the archos then it might be acce...

Re: openPMA-NG ! We are not dead...

will it be possible this time to access the openPMA-NG with out the wifi connection? Hi Suraj, Bubu says " FTG exploit will be required". I'm sure that's a typo, and he meant the GFT exploit (http://code.google.com/p/arcwelder/). This exploit requires wifi, so it doesn't look like you'll be in luck...

Is it worth upgrading ?
I don't know yet, because I haven't upgraded :) I'm hanging out for a new openpma release, but at the moment openpma doesn't do much.. so the choice is pretty academic.
If archos firmware offered keyboard support, I'd probably jump on it.

f**k it, i'm going to update now, the hacking doesn't work out.
I'm tempted too, the hack is great, but can't even get a keyboard to work or qtopiadesktop to work, so i'm running out of reasons to ever run the hack

Unless... there's a new release of openpma in the pipeline ?

They are editing the site right now 15.18GMT, there's a notice saying: "The site is Being modified at the moment. We are sorry for any inconvenience." Does the capitalization of "Being" signify that the next release will be labeled the 666 instead of 606 and it will be so good that it will take over...

As they say in the open source world, "it will be released when it's ready". Oh, I thought it was "release early, release often" ;) Personally, after my prayers were answered just after Christmas, I've been praying ever since, so I hold out great hopes for Easter. Did I mention that the Gods that d...

Is there alot of applications available that will sync to the 605 Correct me if I'm wrong anyone ( I cannot get qtopiadesktop to run), but I'm assuming that the syncing capability is similar to a pda, insofar as you can sync contacts, notes, tasks, calendar. If it would sync files as well, I'd be h...

Next I'll try a different PC I tried installing qtopiadesktop on a pc (no firewall, no antivirus), and it didn't run. Sorry for hijacking this thread, but this is a major issue for me using Qtopia. I'm wondering if there is anyway to stop desktop trying to sync on startup, just so I can debug this ...

That's the same install file I used. I wonder if there is a firewall issue? Also, do you have the qtopia tray icon? Are you in an admin account? Yes, admin account, and I turned off my firewall. Qtopia Tray is just a shortcut to: "C:\Program Files\Trolltech\Qtopia Desktop\qtopiadesktop.exe" --nospl...

Oh it does do VOB? Thats good news to my ears:D I bought the 'Cinema' plug in to avoid the hassle of conversion, but find that it will not play all vob files. For example, I copied the vob files from two DVDs yesterday. Neither will play.. It kinda makes the cinema plugin useless, because you never...

I use Scrapbook (Firefox extension) to capture web pages, then Synctoy to put the web pages on my 605.
