It's not in stock but look at their price for the 250GB they must have transposed the price with the 8GB A70, they did confirmed it has a 250GB hard drive...and that they don't ship to canada...

Given Archos' history, I would say there is less than .1% chance that any of the current lineup ever gets honeycomb.

Has Archos eliminated video recording capability in gen 8? To me, that was the biggest advantage they had over competitor's similar products. Without it, what distinguishes gen 8 from all the other Android tablets already out there or coming down the pipe?

You can do this with virtualdub, a free download. You'll want to make a couple of changes to the default settings after you install virtualdub (I almost abbreviated that ;) )

It's not a removable battery, if that's what you mean. To replace it properly, you have to disassemble the unit and do some soldering.

I'm not sure about battery replacement, but I know Archos has a habit of not returning the same device that was sent in for repair. If you have plugins or any other reason that you are particularly attached to that specific device, you might want to check into that.

Please use the search function. A quick search will show you that Archos could certainly be in the running for the worst tech support in the free world.

Too early to tell, but you can probably get a ballpark figure by looking at the prices of the other flash models:

8gb - $250
16gb - $300
32gb - $380

I believe those functions that those functions aren't available until you register the device with Archos.

It does look cool at first glance - user replaceable battery and Android 2.0 top the list for me. But it will lack huge storage, probably won't have the video capabilities of an Archos, including recording video, and you'll likely be tied to another wireless contract.

First of all, it's called the Streak, and I would say it's definitely too early to make educated comparisons.
