My latest experience was using ULead's product. I was trying to put 3 30 min episodes. I really want to be able to have the chapter menu so you can select the episode you wish to view.

Everything seemed to be going well but after more than 6 hours it was locked at 65%...it had been at that point ...

I've tried several programs, but the ones I have tried haven't been successful - they always hang up. That is why I am asking here instead of google searching. I have google searched and installed demos for weeks and still haven't found one to work properly.

Has anyone ever burned the Archos AVI files to a DVD?

I'm wondering what DVD authoring software you found successful.

The main reason is so the portable DVD player we got for the car - if I can get the avi files onto a DVD I can keep the kiddo entertained for trips.

Ability to download from a Dish DVR...like they are just now releasing for the 5th gen line...

I tried it, but it asks for the unit to be attached to the computer to access a file...they didn't send me a file to "Recover the Hard Drive"

I logged a complaint or question with Archos tech support. Alot of good that will do.
Last time I had an issue they didn't try to help me troubleshoot they just asked for me to send the unit in....days later I figured out it was a simple setting I hadn't tried and it worked properly again.

Firmware and cycling didn't seem to help.

Would you think that it was the DVR unit that stopped functioning or something on the 604 unit? Trying to figure out what to send back... :cry:

Saw that java games that you posted before, just haven't tried it out...this week seems to be less busy so maybe I will check them out.

Yeah - I was just jazzed to see that there was content specific for the 604.
Sounds like there might be some more stuff like this out there formatted for the PSP that we might be able to use as well.

Just found the link through Lifehacker and it looks like they have some free content from mainly Male Oriented magazines and cool cartoons...but it does have content that is formatted for our 604's...which I haven't seen on any other sites yet.
