YouTube not working

Hello, I was wondering if anyone has any advice about my Archos 10.1 Tablet.

For some reason, YouTube won't work and I've tried several things. At first, nothing Google related would work at all, but I got Gmail and Google Play to work after I downloaded Arctools. I have a YouTube app that was maybe downloaded through the market (I'm not sure because the tablet used to be my dad's) and it opens, but when I click on a video, it says it can't play it. I would try downloading it again but I can't get Applib to work so I'm not sure if I can. I tried to download the app from Google Play but it says it's not compatible with my device.

I downloaded a new browser (Dolphin) but YouTube is still not working on the app OR the two browsers I have.

Should I try downloading flash? Just wondering if anyone has any ideas.. I tried deleting the data on the tablet and deleting YouTube app data, but that didn't fix the problem for me. Thanks!

You might do an advanced search of just nthe gen8 section for youtube. It was often a problem when youtube changed their decoding scheme, but didn't release a new app for gen8 because they weren't google approved devices. Maybe you can get a working youtube upgrade app meant for a similar old device that was approved.

I have and still use sort of a cost reduced clone of your device (still designed by archos) and couldn't get youtube to work anymore about a year ago. I had a special compatible version of flash, but removed it since it didn't help me. I mainly use it for news and information, but maybe it is upgradable somehow.
