Sluggish Archos80 Titanium

Hi,
I have an Archos 80 Titanium. I've had it for 1 year. I have always experienced sluggishness with it. Sometimes when you try and open an app or toggle the WiFi on,the Archos will just freeze and after about 30 seconds you'll get a message saying that the app has become unresponsive do I want to close it or wait. Normally if you click wait it sorts itself out immediately. Also, the keyboard. When you place your cursor into a text box the keyboard sometimes takes 20 or 30 seconds to appear on screen. Sometimes you have to tap the text box multiple times to get the keyboard to appear. This is so infuriating. Many reviews of this mention the WiFi but I have never had any bother with the WiFi. But people don't mention this. It doesn't happen every time. Normally shortly after turning on from standby. does anyone else experience this, or is it just mine? Any suggestions?
I am running Android 4.1.1 Kernel 3.0.8
