Magnetic sensor

I installed an app "compass" but it does not work and the app says there is an error with the magnetic sensor. I sent an email to "archos" explaining the problem and they say that my tablet is not equipped with this sensor. The strange thing is that this is my second 80g9 and in that of the first compass was working perfectly. Have you ever tried to you?
