I just got a new Archos 70 internet tablet. And when trying to connect to my home network it never connects. I've made sure my password and everything is right but once I hit connect nothing ever happens.
On firmware version 2.4.83 (Android 2.2.1)
Any help would be great!

The only thing I can suggest is that you log on to your wireless router/AP and see if there are any clues in its event log.

I kind of hate to reply to this simply because it started out with an older Andorid 2.x device (I have the newer 70b with Honeycomb Android 3.x on my end).
Anyway, Wi-Fi connections problems are very common with all kinds of devices (even with those from the bogus so-called king Apple). So, that's really nothing new.
There ARE certain chips in device that simply do NOT work with each other (keep seeing too many Europeans with some kind of of 'Fritzbox' (whatever that thing ever was, but old and outdated now anyway) that has a chip that is well known to NOT work with hardly anything other than older devices). Anyway...
First off, if you have an 802.11n (notice the "n") then change the router to only use 802.11g (notice "g"). The 'n' stuff is pretty much useless unless you live way out in the country with no other wireless routers near you.
Then, check the encryption... older devices only work with WEP, while newer devices work with WAP or better WAP2.
Of course, you WILL NEED TO KNOW how to check/change settings on both your Wi-Fi router and clear/change the settings on your tablet... but, start with the lowest (maybe even 802.11b and/or no encryption) to see if you can connect. Then work your way up.

Actually, most likely none of my damn business, but just exactly WHY do you people need anything formatted to EXT3?
I mean, after all, most video movies can be easily converted down to less than the 4GB file size limit of FAT32.
So, please post exactly why and what you have a reason for EXT3? And, give full details about exactly what you are using it for?
