New to tablets-need help please!
Hey I've recently purchased an archos cobalt alongside a 64gb SD card. I've put the card in the tablet and it recognises it in the storage settings, however when I connect it to my laptop via USB it only allows me access to the 8gb on the tablet. Please could you advise me on what to do? Thank you in advance!

Alright mate, i think i have the solution! Go to the Settings icon, head to Storage on the left, press the 3 little dots at the top right, select USB Computer Connection, and make sure you have USB Mass Storage ticked, head back out via the Home button at the bottom left and plug 'her into your PC, hey presto!

I do not know if the Archos will "see" a 64Gb card - I think 32Gb may be the maximum for some tablets and I have tested a 32Gb card on USB connection.
As for reading the card, when you connect the cable you get a notification at the bottom of the screen and swipe that up to see "Connected as a Media Device". You should be able to see Internal Storage and SD Card details on your PC. Just do not expect this to be immediate - it takes a while to read 32Gb and you are likely to get an "insert card" message or blank until this is completed.
You can Swipe up at the bottom of the screen and tap the Media message, which takes you to Settings and 3 connection options, in case one of those works better for you.
I assume if you can see your 32Gb on the Archos internal filing it is just a matter of waiting till it is read, for the PC to see it. Otherwise you might try a 32gb card.

Thank you! It worked for my 64, however I've tried putting files on and I can't find them on my tablet. I've downloaded es file explorer but still no luck.

I can open the files through adobe ' is there a way to manage them in a my documents style?

state the Archos is Expandable via micro SDHC Slot up to 64 GB.
Assuming it is a micro SDHC card you have you at least know it should work.
The Archos read my camera SD card and USB memory without any special formatting. Certainly the standard Explorer file manage sees my micro SD - as does the Disk Usage Ap.
If you have another (smaller capacity) micro SD it would be interesting to know if it worked.
