YUp.. I called the archos store and 2 mins later... boom! they put them up.. go get em!

lol... nope.. The Customer service rep called me back and told me someone from corporate must have been listening in on the call and I made it clear that amazon has had the 605 available to buy for awhile and alot of us are just waiting on the plug-ins. Guess that made them move their ass!... The power of complaint right? lol

This is (includes) U.S. customers? I went in and when i click on "buy now", the page just refreshes. That's how it's been for weeks. I can't get anywhere!

It works.. If you go to the archos store it's listed under plug-ins.. generation 5... only problem is.. I get all the way up to validating my credit card and then there's a messgae that the page is down and they're working on it.. so I think they're probably in the process of getting it done.. couple of hours should do it.

Thanks!! this is working. I went in a different way. On the homepage i click on the 605 Wifi image on the right. Then i click on Plugins. The 3 available plugins appear w/ the link "buy now". But the links don't work.

Once i get online w/ the 605 i'll send 'em an email to let them know about their glitch!

My credit card went through... This web browser plug in just put me over the top to LOVING this device! All flash sites are viewable... Revolutionary! TAKE THAT IPHONE!

I'm very impressed with browser. i can l type pretty fast using the virtual keyboard. One point of difficulty is that it is hard to click links sometimes. Other than that, very happy. Just.looking forward to the widgets now!!!!

Okay, from these reports the Archos Store seems to be open for US customers.

Any Canadian 605 users found out what happens when you log on from Canada?

Do we get the US store or a Canadian version?

Can Canadian customers using the 605 in Canada purchase the web browser plug-in?

Does anybody know why Archos are selling their plug-ins cheaper to US customers, for instance the web browser is $30 for US customers but Ôé¼30 for EU customers at current exchange rates this is approx 36% dearer also is it possible to purchase the plug-ins from the US site even though you might be in a different country

If you look at technology prices in general, European prices are always that much higher than the US ones... the general rule of thumb is> $X in the US = Ôé¼X in Europe for the same product.

I don't know why the price difference. I don't think you can purchase from the U.S. store unless you are from the U.S. The other day i tried ordering from the U.K. site (because i didn't want to wait for availability over here). My card was rejected.

But it doesn't hurt to try. Best case: you save a little money. Worst case, you can't order it after entering all your card info. No risk.

I'm from U.S. I checked out the 30GB price from Amazon UK vs Amazon USA. If i could buy it from the UK store, i'd have to pay $95 more! But since things cost more in other countries, don't people earn more also? (in some cases) So it really equals out?
