Full power off

Hello,

I'm looking for a recommendation on an.archos player for the wife.
she has an ipod nano, but hates that you can't fully turn off the device. She often wil not use her player for a week and then suddenly need it for a whole day. Most modern players don't turn off anymore, they just go to sleep. However, a week or two of sleep will often drain most of the battery. Is this true for the vision series as well or can you properly turn off the device?
