Made a version MorkaMod v.1.16 for ARNOVA 8G2 8Gb capactive (17.04.2012)
with the /systems in a format ext4 filesystem.

Differences firmware.
- Has updated some Google applications.
- You can select the size of userdata (select parameterX file when flashing) 1, 2, 4 Gb
- Support for Ad-hoc
- Sections (system, cashe, userdata) converted into a format the ext4 file system

Made 2versions of the Custom ROM.
When you install custom ROM, the settings you saved applications and data. You may need to reconfigure these applications.

1. Full version RapidShare
Maintain all system applications, added applications Google, except for the map. Updated Market and ROOT.
Installed as a regular way (copying update.img in the internal flash), and through RKBatchUpgrade v.1.3
New: In the custom ROM has changed the line in build.prop to Market.

In this versions slightly altered graphics interface.

*update.img found in the archive, you must extract before use.

Returning to the original firmware with the same method.
User data during installation are removed.

I am curious to know how you built this firmware.
I had a look with Wendal RK2918 tools (https://github.com/wendal/teclast_tools) they did not work on my Arnova 80 G2 dump, probably because of format or offsets problems on the image file contents.

I had a little experience to create a ROM for the Archos 7c HT (rk2818).
From Wendal RK2918 tools I've used only AFPTool.
He excellent unpacked dump update.img.

No, it is still another device. In any case, the firmware from 10G2 to 8G2 does not work.

Just out interest, does the market place work for anyone?
I followed the instructions very carefully, and the installation was succsessful. I can acsess the marketplace without any issues. However, when i search for apps or games, it onlys shows two or three apps.
Did i do something wrong?

Thank you Sowa for this very nice christmas present. Install went fine. I have root access and also access to the market!
If you don't see all applications in the market, try to clear the cache of the market app in Settings.

with this version of AFPTool.exe for windows and cygwin, I've unpack the update.img, insert su file in /system/bin , Superuser.apk in /system/app , recreate new system.img repack and created a new update.img
Installed it working fine but not yet supeuser

Really thanks alot for the Custom rom with market - it works great!
I do have w major questions:
1) Is there any possibility to get native google contacts and calendar app (as selectable on mobile phones)
in the firmware?
2) can i somehow confire the identification of my tab in that way that i can download all
apps from market place? (e.g. at some very simple apps it says that my device is not compatible)

I installed the custom ROM and aside from having to re-install a couple of apps, all went well. I have noticed that the boot time has increased quite a bit as well as the shut down time. But no big deal.

I had no problem locating, downloading and installing a weather widget from the "Market" and I now have root. So I think Sowa deserves a big A+ for his effort!
