Battery dock no longer connecting properly

I have owned the Archos 5 IMT for almost 2 years, so it's no longer under warranty. Recently when connecting the battery dock, the TV output message would pop up, then quickly disappear. The battery icon in the top right hand corner would still indicate the Archos player was charging. Now when I connect the battery dock, the tv output message does not pop up at all and the battery dock no longer charges my Archos player.

I thought it may be the connections? The battery dock will charge if I have an external power adaptor connected to it. It appears to be ok, my Archos player won't recognise it now.

Has anyone had similar problems and a solution to this, or do I have to bite the bullet and accept the connections on my Archos player are gubbed? Thanks.

Recently the dock connections on my 32gb went out. They had been acting up for a couple of months. Fortunately, I can still charge via usb, but no go on recording or outputting to tv.

Recently the dock connections on my 32gb went out. They had been acting up for a couple of months. Fortunately, I can still charge via usb, but no go on recording or outputting to tv.

That's not good I think the Archos player still works with the DVR docking station, which was connected the other week. Sometimes have to connect it twice to be able to output to tv properly. I guess I just have to accept that the battery dock won't work properly with it anymore, which is a shame because the extra charge did come in handy, along with the ability to connect an external usb memory.

My dock stopped working for me about 6 months ago. I've tried everything. Nothing worked. My usb works for charging if the cable is in just the right way... sort of annoying.
