Use different credentials in the smb viewer video app.
Is there a way to enter different credentials in the smb browser in the video app? My NAS has a public account that shares some things and a media account that requires a user name and password. The video app sees the share and doesn't give the option to ask for user name and password.

Solved my own problem. Just go into the file viewer app and navigate to the location and it asks you for credentials.
On a side note it plays my 720p blue ray rips and I can even select the alternate audio tracks. First player besides the iPod touches I've seen do that, but the iPod doesn't do upnp streaming let alone smb.

U can select any audio/subs that are on the stream 
and you can resync subs too (at least at my g8 70 IT)
