I have downloaded a number of apps that when I try to run them the first time I get the Force Close message (and over and over again when I try to run the app again)? This may be the case on all versions but since I only have the A70 250gb I am asking about this tablet. Some apps in question include MSNBC and more recently the WSOP Poker app downloaded from the Amazon Appstore. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks...
Just fyi, I have the latest firmware and market hack...
Why do some apps not work on my A70 250gb
Re: Why do some apps not work on my A70 250gb
I posted the SAME exact question on another forum. VERY frustrating. The problem with some of these Android devices is that they are not Google certified so their Android code may be modified (from what I understand) to accommodate the company's hardware. Another culprit is the fact that some of these apps may access phone features that are not recognized on a tablet so it force quits....?
Even so, it's a major bummer as there are some great apps and games I wish I could run on my 70 but end up uninstalling because they force quit - kind of looks bad for Archos, I think Never the less. I feel your pain. I'm hoping Honeycomb is a possible run on the 70 in the near future and the apps will be updated to run with it...from what I hear, Honeycomb will be optimized for tablets, not necessarily just phones.
Hope that provides insight.
