Connect to WIFI using WPA. Possible?

Hi,
I'm new to this forum...
Just bought a used PMA400.
I tried to connect to our wifi network. But the network uses WPA encryption.
How can I connect my PMA to our Network? Need I install other software?

PMA430 doesn't support WPA, if possible, you should change your encryption to the less secure WEP or just remove your encryption totally if you're not afraid of your neighbours using your WiFi. Use a PC on your network, go to http://192.168.0.1 or http://192.168.1.1 login as admin and password 1234 usually that works if you haven't changed the admin password allready.

Once you've got it all working I'd suggest you work on getting some security back into your network by only allowing MAC's for your PC's and the PMA to access it, changing your Admin name and Password and non broadcasting of SSID (and change it's name from whatever the default is anyway)...etc. A quick search with Google will throw up lots of good easy to follow advice on how to make your WiFi network more secure...and absolute must if you do any purchases on line etc.

I can tell you that with my 604wifi I can easily access my neighbours PC's....good job I'm an honest soul!

Thanks for your answers....
I hoped there was a solution for the PMA.
The network, I cannot change it, it is the one from work (professional).
So I will only go on web at home... there is no security required

You can also use the USB Ethernet adaptor.

A wireless USB adapter, which will bring a new software which works with this encription?

If you have ethernet cables at your office you can use a usb-to-ethernet adaptor. I don't remember if there is external usb-wifi dongle support in the giraffe firmware. You can maybe find some information about external usb-wifi dongle support on Giraffe firmware here http://www.openpma.org/wiki/openPMA:Giraffe

Hi all,
For a wired solution I have used the Netgear "FA101" to connect to both home and a few el-chepo motel networks. It is fairly old/clunky... about 90mmx38mm. Light for the size though. I would also recommend bringing your own cat5 cable to run from their router to a more convenient sitting space.

I also travel with a small usb fem a to mini usb male.
