Note that you might have to clean your multimedia library in order to use it or come back to an earlier firmware version.

Changelog compared to 2.1.4:
- External keyboard layouts: various country layouts are now supported using Settings > Language and keyboard > Select external keyboard layout setting (qwerty us/uk, azerty french, qwertz deutch, latin america spanish, russian, japanese).
- Proxy: http proxy settings have been enabled for the browser in Settings > Wireless & network > wifi proxy settings.
- Utilities bar: new soft keys and button bars scheme to avoid display glitches
- Application: Archos remote service and universal Android application to control your Archos device remotely using Wi-Fi. For now only directional keypad and home/back/menu is supported. It is intended to operate your Archos using any Android phone/device for instance when the Archos is connected to the TV.
- Network shares: introduce an option to enable/disable network share scanning per Wi-Fi SSID in Wi-Fi authentication dialog box. Scan is performed on a smaller subset of the network (less intrusive in corporate/university environment).
- Media library cleaning : there is now one entry to clean both mediascanner (for multimedia files) and mediascraper (for movies/tv shows) and delete all posters when needed
- Battery: improve robustness of battery charge status for A70H
- Audio architecture: fixed a bug in the IIR filter (for the speakers of the A70S and A70H) which lead to no sound in case of audio saturation
- Music: fix some MP3 files have bad sound after seeking
- Video: make some high level H264 HD files play correctly
- Video: fix black screen on video player resume from suspend for MPEG4 files

no the windows 7 sharing folder's bug hasn't been solved yet
and even the high resolution pictures bug hasn't been solved
and well, i've runned 3 times quadrant, and the results are: 1379-1352-1359

Can't tether with any bluetooth device:
when selected bluetooth tethering, suddendly all crashes.

What happemd to Wifi?

Again channels over 9 are not recognised.
I had to switch from 13 to 9 to get Wifi working again.

Where is this bar? I don't see it anywhere in the settings.

utility bar is composed of the home/back/menu/search soft keys. Thus nothing new there except that we changed the framework with a new more robust infrastructure.

after 30-40 minutes of normal usage, the screen became (almost) completely insensitive to touch.
the game "Worms" is not working anymore.
And, in the end, "Fruit Ninja" plays "lagghish".
dunno why but this fw has completely slowed down the device.

I've been able to download every one before now on my archos 70. I'll try to get it on my PC later, but I'm not home right now.

Also, I would like to congratulate archos on testing firmware updates for generation 6 and 7. You guys give me great confidence in my recent purchases and my future ones.

I downloaded it the other day without any issues. I just tried it again and I also get this strange error, and mine flashes, go figure.
