Problem with Archos 101

I am a new user ARCHOS 101 I bought it a couple days ago. I do have a big problem with it. Sometimes when i want to start any application device freeze and restart.i have a problem with powering device up because freezes during boot. sometimes i get a boot loop. I tried to upgrade to the latest firmware 2.1.04, format disk. then i downgrade to 2.0.71 (android 2.2.1). Device is very unstable.
Sometimes is work ok for few hour, sometimes is crash every 5 minut.

Is this HW or SW problem?

It seems to me that I throw money away

Are you able to return your A101? It sounds like you got a bad item. It should boot, not go into a reboot cycle. Return it or exchange it for another one. When the A101 works, it is a nice machine.

Nobody can properly answer this without knowing what programs you have installed. Also, downgrading, unless that has changed very recently, is not possible. What are you doing when it freezes?

I have a same problem (freeze up, and touch screen is not responsive) since i updated my A101 to latest FW. I bought my device back in Dec, 2010 and running FW 2.0.71 without the problem. I think i will go back to FW 2.0.71.

Hello!
I reset the device and now I'm not install any applications. The situation is much better, but still sometimes does not turn as I want. Sometimes it still freezes when browsing the Internet and listening to mp3.
Now I try to install applications one by one and then I'll see what happens

I think that is a problem in applications
