Skinomi TechSkin - Skin Protector Shield Full Body
I am looking for a great protective case for my 101 and came across this...http://www.amazon.com/Skinomi-TechSkin- ... =pd_cp_e_3
It looks like ideally what I am interested in. I want the screen and body of the archos protected but i dont want to take away from the sexiness (appeal) of the archos. Any other suggestions would be nice because I am on Amazon right now with my finger on the buy it and ship it button!
Thanks

I do not think that this is a protective case so your 101 will look the same as it does now - it is just a clear protective screen for the whole unit.Blockbusta60 wrote:I am looking for a great protective case for my 101 and came across this...http://www.amazon.com/Skinomi-TechSkin- ... =pd_cp_e_3

Re: Skinomi TechSkin - Skin Protector Shield Full Body
I just got my Skinomi yesterday and put it on last night. It comes in several pieces. I found it difficult to get all of the bubbles out before the skin started to really adhere to the unit, which made it nearly impossible to push them out. I got the pieces wet enough that they should have slid around more easily, but you really only have maybe ten seconds or less before they start sticking to the unit, which wasn't enough time to try to get all the bubbles out. For those pieces that I got perfect, it does look really nice. However, there are a few (including the screen!) that still have bubbles under them. The instructions do say that most small imperfections (such as bubbles) will disappear within a few days, but I'm not so sure. The areas of the screen where the skin doesn't have any bubbles do look really nice and clear, but the bubbles that remain are really annoying. I've put skins on other devices before so I'm not new to this, but it was pretty difficult to get the skins just right on this one. Plus, the skin doesn't cover the edges. I know it can't cover the ports where the different cables, etc. attach, but the other edges wouldn't have that issue. I would've liked to see the skins cover the edges, too - they can scratch as easily as the rest of the unit. As far as whether it affects the responsiveness of the touch screen, I did notice a very small difference in how quickly it responded. According to the instructions, they offer free replacements for life and are very customer-oriented - I think I'll try removing the skin that covers the screen and seeing if I can reapply it if I get it wet again. If not, I'll be contacting them for a new one. I do think the skin will look really good once it's on correctly. I can't really speak to its anti-glare properties, as it's been a really gray day here. Looking at it under a table lamp, I think it probably will help cut down on the glare. Hope this helps.

I got a DIY custom dimension skin from BSE.

I purchased this via Amazon and am going to return it. It's very difficult to install, which would be okay if ended up looking good. But it looks bad and the bubbles aren't going away.

Hi all, I put the screen protector on from Skinomi and it went on pretty easily. At first it had odd looking hazing under the skin but after it set over night they dried and went away.
My problem is that now when I first turn the Archos on the search button on the top right keeps acting like I am presseing it. It lights up and goes to the search screen and still keeps lighting like I am pressing it over and over again.
I have even cut out the skin right over the button and this seems to help but still on occasion it goes to search for no reason. Is anyone else having this problem?

I've got such mixed feelings on these, I applied one to the back of the 43IT and it's beautiful, the front is absolutely horrible. I popped another $9 for screen only and will give it another shot when it arrives. I need more patience, more steam and more luck I think.

p.s. I haven't even attempted the little side and misc pieces, maybe some day when I'm bored. Those areas don't attract fingerprints and seems the skin itself would stand out.

Bought one and threw it in the trash it comes rolled up in a tube and is very sticky on the back
. I made a complete mess of it and now looking for something different. It has a lifetime replacement guarantee, but not worth the the trouble.
