Stuck on welcome screen

Hello
My Archos 3 vision remains stuck on the welcome screen (ARCHOS Entertainment your way) which comes on and off continuously . To poweroff, I have to use the reset hole at the back. But that does not solve the problem. I also have left it to discharge completely tono avail. When I connect it to my PC, the folders seem to be in place. I have not seen this problem anywhere on the web, can anyone help ?

I have the identical problem. My Archos Vision 3 is now simply an overpriced memory card which I guess is what it will remain as there does not appear to be any firmware that I can download or any other support out there that I can access.
