Bluetooth
Bluetooth
What is wrong with bluetooth and android? I'm just getting paired but not connected on the A70 and every device I'm trying to connect to. It seems there's a bug in android that causes this but no clear answer for a fix. Anyone have any ideas? I've called Archos tech support and the only thing the supoort guy told to do was send it back for an exchange.

Re: Bluetooth
Under "Bluetooth Settings", i add my phone.
And then i go back and under "Cell phone tethering", that's where i set up the tethering options.
I'm not sure what the network name for your isp is, but mine only connects if i type in "internet"
After it's all setup, every time i need to connect through my phone, i just tap the cellphone icon on the control bar.
And then i go back and under "Cell phone tethering", that's where i set up the tethering options.

Re: Bluetooth
I think it's the bugs of configuration.

Re: Bluetooth
Exchanging will not change a thing.
Have you made sure that bluetooth is working?
From what I can recall you are only 'connected' when there is data transfer such as when tethered as Hajile pointed out.
Try transferring a file using 'Bluetooth File Transfer' on your Archos to a cell phone.
Let us know how that goes.

I'm also having trouble tethering. I'm using an iPhone 3G and both the phone and Archos are finding each other but not connecting as well. My question is where you type in the network name for your isp? Is this somewhere in the bluetooth settings or just general network settings?

Re: Bluetooth

The dealer and i tried a couple of names from our cell provider, but neither worked. It was only after i went online and looked for it myself that i found the name. If you don't get it right, you won't tether.
PS: My mistake, it was Access Point Name, not Network Name.
