WiFi Re-Connect Issues.

Post by Rockstar »

ok this may have been covered, but I just got my wife's A43. I downloaded a wifi widget. I did an initial scan for my router, once it finds it, I put in my password and connect. Works great!, until that is I disconnect. When I try to re-connect using either the WiFi widget or the built in power strip widget my router locks me out. I then have to turn off the wifi on the A43 and wait until the little computer light stops flashing red on my router. As long as I re-enter the password every time from the settings page from within the A43 I have no issues. I m sure it is not a problem with my router as I have the same widget on my Droid1 and don't ever have a problem, and my Itouch logs in fine I only had to enter the password once on each device. Am I over looking something??

Why are you using a widget to connect? Wouldn't you just leave the wifi on all the time? Or are you trying to save battery life or something?

The first reason is every time you get out of range of the router it will automatically disconnect. The other reason is the only time she will be connecting to the router is to print out her photos on our wifi enabled printer.

Try different channel in your router. I have this problem until I switch the router channel from the default 6 to 12.
