Sears/Gomadic marketing assessories

On Sears.com they are actually listing accessories for the Gen 8s. They are from Gomadic. Apparently they have a line of chargers and cables with interchangeable tips. They market some as being for the Archos products although I think most of them just have different sizes of USB ends. They also market car holders & FM transmitters. I think most would work on a wide variety of products but I give them credit for being among the first if not the first to advertise compatibility.

Notice where that cable is going from the battery pack. There is no ports on Archos there. Fake?

Interesting maybe faked. I figure they just read the specks that it used mini usb and they have a connector for that and started marketing.

They could also read that unit doesn't charge via usb

It says it charges via computer usb but my understanding was it could also be charged via AC or DC as long as you had the right size of usb connector.
