My money is on no, but it would be nice if it worked.

I don't think there is going to be a simple "1 click method" that is readily available for some time. When we do figure out a permanent solution, it won't be one click.

I was trying to run this but it kept saying usb debugging needed to be enabled, but still not working even with usb debugging enabled. Not sure what to do about it. If there were some serious developers working on the archos I'm sure they can make this work.

I enabled USB debugging and tried it out. It ran and then restarted the device. Only issue being im not sure how to tell if it rooted it or not lol

After reboot I was able to run it through, but it doesn't look like it's rooted. I tried setcpu and not getting root access, so unfortunately, no not getting root.

If I ever get my hands on my A101, I'll be sure to get a root method as soon as I can.

However, unlike some people... I'm actually willing to wait. I still have my Evo to break until my A101 arrives lol

From the page, it looks like this only works on Froyo, so definitely something to keep in mind once we get it.
