Here's a 200mb sample (taken out of 6.6GB 720p movie with DTS audio): https://docs.google.com/leaf?id=0BzVsbZ ... ist&num=50
It seems to work 97% fine on A43 LCD (tiny hiccups? Maybe I need to test more action packed scenes), but sync seems to be out on HDMI.

Re: Video bugs on Gen8 sample files
I know BitTorrent is illegal in France and all that, but my Google Docs has a 1GB limit. Maybe I'll rar it up if you want. I tried to split the file with Virtual Dub, but when it is split in a 80mb file it seems to work fine in sync. So maybe it is a AVI filesize issue somehow.
This is a 1.2GB AVI file. http://isohunt.com/torrent_details/2151 ... ab=summary
On A43 Firmware 1.0.70 LCD it is very slightly out of sync and on A43 Firmware 1.0.70 HDMI it's more out of sync.

Here is my Inglourious.Basterds.720p.BluRay.x264-METiS (1)-002.mkv if you need for further testing.

Re: Video bugs on Gen8 sample files
we did something for av sync in next firmware, should be out soon
Re: Video bugs on Gen8 sample files
Is that MKV around the limit for bitrate? Since it seems to work fine on LCD, my hope is that it will work fine leading to large % of 720p MKV movies to work fine.
What I wonder is how many % out of the top-100 720p movies on http://thepiratebay.org/browse/207/0/9 are going to work.
That, I think, could be considered a kind of scientific calculation of the % of success rate among "current scene 720p movie releases".
And based on that, trying to determine approximately where the bitrate limits are going to work, considering that it's most often a game about bitrate peaks in action sequences and not average bitrates.
For strictly scientific and r&d purposes (of course), I wonder if you would be able to get someone to download all these for testing.
