ARCLibrary Update never completes
ARCLibrary Update never completes
I reboot and it initiates and ARCLibrary update that never completes and I can't seem to kill. There is approx. 16,000 mp3 files (500GB model with latest 2.0.38). This particularly irritating since no USB connection is allowed during ARCLibrary Update. Anyone know a way out of this? I'm about to try deleting huge chunks of my Music folder through the Android file manager.

clear your cache and temp files in system, about, customer (something like that i dont have my machine to hand).
the index sometimes becomes corrupt and causes it to hang.
it will take some time to complete but you should find it better after.

I had the same problem once. In the end it turned out to be due to some particular files (4 out of many thousand...) that the AMC could not digest. No idea how to identify those, though (apart from removing and copying back piece by piece).
