WMV1, & WMV2 request.

Hello to everyone, this is my first post on this helpful forum. The 04 series of PMP players do support Windows Media Video WMV3 (version nine), but will not play WMV1 (version seven), & WMV2 (version eight) video files. I like to download streaming web videos using the Firefox extension Unplug. The majority of these videos are in the FLV, WMV1, & WMV2 format which I convert to H264 to play on the Archos player. I understand that there may be issues in getting Macromedia Flash files to work on the Archos. But wouldnÔÇÖt it be easy for Archos to enable playback of WMV1, & WMV2 videos in a firmware update, or by the use of a plugin?

I agree with you, and I for one would buy a plug-in that created more legacy codec capability.
