Can someone help me figure out what I'm doing wrong? I have a 60gb Archos 5 that I'm trying to install Appslib on. I downloaded it and it already had the .apk extension. I put it in the download folder but when I click on it, it says "This is not a recognized file type. It will not play". It definitely has the .apk extension. I tried downloading it again just in case of a corrupt download and it does the same thing.
When I go into the Archos file manager, and go into the Downloads folder, the icon has a question mark on it. For the hell of it I even changed the extension to .zip, and of course that didn't work. Any ideas?
Cannot install Appslib on 60gb Archos 5 with .apk ext.

Actually, it seems my Archos 5 will not run any .apk files. Does anyone know why this would be?

The problem is that you are trying to install something meant for the A5IT/A7HT (Android-based devices) on a A5IMT. (Non Android-based device) APKs are written for Android based devices.
