Can not load anything to video section of hard drive.

I have a new GMini 500 supplied at a discount by Archos because my original went after about 2 years and they tried and failed to get it to work. yes i know I could reurn it but want to see if there is a solution to my problem first.

1. I am running Win XP.
2. My Archos is recognised under 'others' not as an additional drive.
3. Have turned back and un-installed and re-installed drivers.
4. No problem loading JPegs etc to photo section.
5. When I cut & TRY to paste from my PC HD I get a message saying device not working. There is loads of space on the Archos HD.
6. Can view what is already on there and can also delete.

Any thoughts greatly appreciated.
