Is there a new Firmware Update 4 704Wifi ??Can we use 1.6.53

Hi All,

I recently bought 704 Wifi and wondering whether the Firware 1.6.53 can be used on this Devlice..

I know 704 wifi is a Generation 4 ..But can't we use any of the Generation 5 updates ??

If not does any one know when Archos will be releasing a new update ..

Is there a site where Archos Plugins are published / Discussed for Developers ..(i am not talking abt the ones which one can buy from Archos site..)

As the core OS is Linux , i am hoping some one is trying to develop FOSS plugins..

No, they're not compatible.

Probably never - it's been over a year since the last GEN4 (704) F/W release.
