Remote control for the dvr is awful ...... Buttons have to be double clicked and very slow to respond ( if it does respond very hit and miss) any ideas on how to improve this remote....its all brand new this month so not batterys.

The remotes are very fiddly.
Even though the DVR etc. is brand new, change the batteries - you don't know how long they've been in the packaging.
