Replaced Hard Drive in my AV500...Can't format
Does anyone have any idea how to bring an Archos AV500 back on line after replacing the 100 gb hard drive? I replaced the hard drive in my unit and have tried several different methods to format it, including a dos hard drive format utility, and nothing works. The unit powers on and says that the hard drive needs to be formatted. I press the buttons to have it reformat the drive and then it begins to rebuild the arch library but then pops up with an error that says it cannot recognize the hard drive. The drive I replaced was the exact model that was originally in the unit. Can anyone help? Thanks.

No suggestions. Welcome to the club of perfectly functioning AV500 units (except for the hard drive).
