I'm getting my Archos 605 any day now. I can't wait. Is there anything that is a must have item that goes along with the Archos 605? I'm totally rich so price doesn't matter

A good set of headphones (Search the forums for recommendations - my personal favorite is Etymotic ER6i)
A DVR station for 1. Faster charging 2. Recording 3. TV playback
A wireless router if you don't already have one.
A good case to protect it. (Search the forums for recommendations - everyone has different reasons for preferring different cases - I personally am quite happy with the Archos leather case)

Yh? I just got my 605 Wednesday. Its been amazing so far, no volume issues or anything.
Maybe its just about age or newer software or something..

Geez. If you actually took the time to read the forum before making stupid (and completely wrong) statements about others, you would find that a huge portion of 605 owners agree that the max volume is too low. It is artificially limited due to a EU regulation. This limitation affects the SNR, damages the sound quality, and can make it difficult to watch movies on airplanes or get decent levels with external audio systems. You'd also find out that Archos' support for promised functions and bug fixes is near non-existent.

Enjoy your Archos. If it works for you rich guy, more power to ya.

Didn't you notice the new line of Archos 5's out there? Much much nicer than the 605's. I loved my 605, but it pales in comparison to my new 5, and I officially sold my 605 160 gig to a guy at work today. Gave him the whole kit and kaboodle and an excellent deal.

Lets keep this thread focused. Do any companies sell a soft pouch that will fit the Archos 605? The one that came with the device sucks hairy noots.
