AV704 TV video rec freeze

I also have the 704tv and dvr station and although the 704 records and plays perfectly when using the unit on its own as soon as I put it into the dvr station I have trouble. Output quality to tv is worse than VHS tape, recording hardly ever works (says the disk is full most of the time) and when it does work the recording is bad quality, jumpy and in the wrong screen size. It also causes the 704 to lock-up at time plus I have had numerous other little problems with it.

I now only use the dvr station to hold the 704 and charge, it nothing else. All ouput to tv is done through the A/V jack on the side. The dvr station is, in my opinion, the absolutely worst item A/V I have ever bought.

Everyone with a DVR that actually uses it to record, will tell you the thing is worthless. Archos continues to deny this and acts as if we are all nuts.

But there are some of us who don't have any problems, even using a GEN4 DVR for a GEN5 (605) device
