Internet Radio devices

i have left my phone at work so i will tell early monday morn. seeing it does play mp3 files then i will say yes it does.

ok just tried the mp3 links and as far as i know no you cant play them with win mobile (big r radio is good) it just gives you the option to save / save as (and it saves it as a .m3u file which will not play on my mobile) where as the 605 gives you the option to play
i was goin to sort out these links from vtuner but had no reponse /permission to use the links (all uk links done and waiting)

I have an ATT Tilt windows smartphone and bought a great internet radio plugin from www.selectradio.com. It's probably the best app for mobile internet radio i've found. If anyone has found something better let me know. Make sure you have the unlimited data plan!

Cool.. After some research it looks like a Windows Mobile device would probably be my best bet for getting Internet Radio. I am looking to get either the XPERIA X1, HTC Touch Pro or Diamond maybe. Not yet decided, will wait and see when they come out (at least in the US). I have an upgrade available through AT&T so hopefully one of these phones gets offered through them, but if not I will still probably buy the unlocked version of one of them.

BTW, do they have a list of the radio channels that you get through the plugin? If not, (since you have both) how does it compare to Archos's? number of channels? info for each channel (bit-rate, location, format...etc)? Management (browsing by location, genre...etc)?

Ok, so it's been about 3 weeks since I started this post, and I can say that I have found my answer!!! FINALLY!

So, as I'm sure everyone knows, the 3G iPh*** was release this past Friday, and the new App store was already up and running the day before. I was browsing through the store and found an interesting app, have you guessed what it is?????

Yes, it's an Internet Radio Application called "Tuner", it sells for $4.99!!! For anyone who's interested in learning more about it, you can read a short description and see some screen captures of it through the App Store (which is now available through iTunes). So, I really got very excited and although I always HATED Apple, I decided I am going to buy the iPhone 3G and if I don't like it I will return it within the 30-day return policy for AT&T (there's a 10% restocking fee, but still worth it). The main reason I decided to try it out is because of that simple App "Tuner".. I stood in line just like those crazy Apple "Fanboys", and got my hands on an iPhone 3G, purchased and downloaded the App directly to my iPhone in under a minute!

The App provides access to thousands of stations (MP3 and AAC format). It is different than vTuner's list on the Archos and has different stations (although some are mutual). You can also add your own URL (which you can't do on the Archos)!!

The software (App) is still a little buggy at times, but I am optimistic that the developer company (Nullriver) will come out with an update soon.

I can only say, the feeling that you're always connected with a high-speed connection (thanks to AT&T's $30/month unlimited 3G Data plan) and able to listen to thousands of stations on-the-go (especially in-car) is absolutely indescribable!!

I'm still not sure if I'm going to keep my iPhone, but for now I can say I am very impressed..

I have a Samsung i730 from Verizon with the "unlimited" data plan, the vtuner stations all work fine on here. You can listen anyplace there is a Verizon network, which is just about everyplace.
