why go to such extreems when you can whip out your trusty archos cap, and shade with style. the areo dynamic corrugations enhance the airflow creating a barror blocking out the sun.matelot wrote:between your legs ? under your butt ?haahah wrote:you are stood in the middle of the desert, where is the shade.archos>apple wrote: lol.

I know this may sound like a smart a** comment, but bear with me...
I just bought a new laptop that has a screen that is visible in sunlight. If I have to be in the sun and want to watch a movie while on campus, I connect the Archos via USB as an external HDD. I have WinAmp mapped to the video folder on the Archos (in HDD mode as well as via WiFi network connection, depending on if I want to cable it or not). Since I have my laptop with me anyway, it's quite nice, and the laptop charges the Archos (via USB).
Otherwise, you'll just have to find some shade. My PDA is the same way (in fact, all of my other devices with LCD displays, except the new laptop).
Good luck,
