Testers needed for My Gmail Address Book

Well I finished my widget for downloading and sending e-mail with your Gmail account.

I did send a version to opera for reviewing but that has only the send feature build in. Because it is already 2 weeks ago and I didn't here from opera I am searching for some testers and release it later on my own.

What can this widget do:

- Like the old Address Book widget it can store your contacts.
- You are now being able to write mails and store them until there is a wifi connection and send the mails all at once or just a single one.
- One very needed feature is to backup your address book by sending the data to your gmail account as a mail. It can then be restored by uploading a simple textfile some where.
- The contact list is sorted in alphabetic order when the widget starts.
- You can write a simple note and send it to your gmail account.
- On startup when a wifi connection is available your gmail account is checked on new mails and if there are they will be downloaded.

Update: I have got a question of one of the testers of the widget if they could post it on another site. One of the main reasons I am against it is that if the code is modified then it is possible to send the login for your Gmail account to a server and hack the account. The zip which you are getting from me i know for sure doesn't hold any malicious code, but if you should get it from somewhere else then you know i can't guarantee that anymore. So people please be patient I will release this widget for download on my own site or through opera widgets and then you can link to it directly. Thank you for your understanding.

For the people I send the plugin:
I noticed myself 2 issues
-Some E-mails don't download completely
-Page up and page down arrows are displayed on the viewing downloaded e-mail page.
(these will be corrected in the next release)

What I also forgot to mention sometimes there is a little lag when pressing a button, this is the downsite of using a widget. But overall I think the speed is pretty good.
When you are writing an e-mail press the screen next to the input field and you will exit the input field this is done so you can write multiple lines when pressing the enter button.

Ok a quick Tut to make your address book on your PC.
The backup file for restoring your address book looks like this

{"fname":"john","lname":"doe","phone":"","mobile":"","email":"","note":"","subject":"","mail":""},
{"fname":"maurice","lname":"van kruchten","phone":"","mobile":"","email":"mauricevankruchten@gmail.com","note":"","subject":"","mail":""},
{"fname":"john","lname":"Whatson","phone":"","mobile":"","email":"","note":"","subject":"","mail":""}]

Copy and paste it in an empty textfile and put in your names phone numbers etc. to add more addresses just copy the full address string

{"fname":"","lname":"","phone":"","mobile":"","email":"","note":"","subject":"","mail":""}

And paste it below the others, but be sure the entire address book is surounded by [ ]. These should only appear once in the address book.
Now upload your txt file somewhere and be sure to know the direct link to it. You have to put the direct link into the my gmail address book config page and press the restore button.

how do i get my contacts to appear on the addressbook,

do i have to write all of them manually?

Yes, I can't get access to the google contacts so you have to put them in manually.
If you look two posts above you can see a way to do it on your pc.

Maybe if google released an API for google mail I could implement it in a later stage.

Great work! I was trying to figure out how to get it to retreive my gmail contacts, but have since read that it is not possible. No big deal...just write them out once and then save them somewhere.

I look forward to updated releases.

- and any bugs when you push the widget to the limits
