Ive got them on all my stuff with screens. its simply amazing stuff. Highly recommend you get them for you archos. Some people have issues applying the shield but if you follow the instructions to the letter and do it in a clean environment with clean hands you will get perfect results every time.
I also love that they will replace it free of charge for the life of the shield.

Go get one.

NOW!!

I had the all over body shield on my iPod touch, unfortunately I had to remove it as it wasn't a very good fit and had overhang which meant it started to peel off. However it was very good whilst I had it.

I didn't know they did one for the 605 Wifi, I'm tempted to get it

Does anyone know if it is just the screen, or is it the bezel on the front as well? If it is just the screen I might get it.

When I purchased the Invisiblesheild, it was just the screen. It's great. I haven't noticed any degradation in sensitivity at all.

Hi',

Its just the screen and it is a nanometre-perfect fit. I have posted on this before. Back then I said it was the best, and months on I haven't changed my opinion one iota.

The Zagg (Invisible Shield) screen is amazing - on the Archos it seems to improve contrast and visibility and its slightly sticky feel makes using the stylus more precise and pleasurable. Its durable and easily cleaned and once on it stays on - no curling corners etc (unlike the competition).

Buy it, fit it and you won't forget it because you'll be glad its on there every day.

You may want to check out the BSE as well. Best Skins Ever, its basically the same as the IS, but its cheaper because they only send you what you need. The so called "solution" that comes with the IS is just soapy water. Both are excellent, but if you wanna save a bit, get the BSE. They may not have one specifically for the Archos, but you can get a sheet of it and cut out the size you need. They cut costs by sending you nothing but the sheet of protection in an envelope. Nothing less, nothing more.

Looks good. I had just been using the cover that was on the screen, both on my 605 and on my nokia e65 phone, so I may invest in a screen cover for both!

I got the invisible shield and had a problem installing it
I dropped it on my sweater and now there are little fibers on the shield

Its still pretty good though
Im gonna order another one cause I learned from my mistakes

I thought that the fingerprints I got on it wouldnt come out, so I tried not
to touch the sticky part went crazy trying to put it on
those will all go away so dont worry about it

also, spray the shield and then leave it untill it dries, then spray it again
and apply it

My mother has it for her phone and camera and said the one for her
archos was harder to apply but hers came out fine

Thats why i like the IS. It comes in a box, with the application solution (soapyish water) and a soft rubber press to push out the bubbles. Feels more professional. May cost a tad more but its got the lifetime protection too.

I would be sold if they had a screen + whole body protector. Probably next to impossible due to the speaker holes, kickstand, and irregular non-flat areas of the 160 GB version, but, a man can dream, can't he?

I love my leather case for protection but it doesn't keep pocket lint off the screen that I have to blow off with canned air and it's irritating to take it out anytime I want to use a dock.

Isn't there like a silicon (rubbery) casing? That would be nice.

I just installed an invisibleshield on my Archos today. It didn't come out as nice as I like, but it's already been a few hours. If I take it out now, will it damage my screen or leave any residue?

You should leave it for 24 hours, you aren't suppose to touch it, move it, turn on the device or anything, just leave it to dry.

Based on the iPod version, it looks a lot nicer once it has dried properly, and yes you can remove them without damage (at least on the touch, but then that has a glass screen)

I got one of the Invible Shields and after not being able to install it without major bubbles and dust specks inside I threw it away - another try is too expensive for my taste. Just to mention that I have a very steady hand - used to mount ┬Á-thin foils for my experiments which would have been damaged by the slightest wrong or too quick movement ( some of them in the value of 25000 Ôé¼ btw. ).
I worked in an enviroment as dustfree as you probabely can get at home also using thin latex gloves to avoid fingerprints and were following the instructions as precisely as possible. But the second I took the protective foils off I had already some dust on the inside and because of the sticky surface there was no way to get rid of it. The 605 screen btw accumulated no dust on its surface during the time I tried to get the foil on.

Now Ive put my own foil on it following the idea and instructions of another thread here using a thin vynil foil, cutting it out by myself using a template which was given in this thread. Ok it is certainly not as scratchproof as the shield and not as though and undestructable but because Im not planning to wear the 605 in a bag together with my keys or tools like screwdrivers and Im using the stylus basically only for pointing in addtion to my fingers and the buttons it suits my needs perfectly and its only 0.08 Ôé¼ per piece and a bit of work and its mounted in less then a minute after its cut out and theres no liquid and/or adhesives involved and it can be perfectly removed.

I finally ordered an IS and if it's supposed to be like the BSE, which I got for my ZVW, then I don't see what the problem is. Believe it or not, I screwed up in my first attempt applying the BSE. I actually put it wrong side down, and after a few hours noticed it was really sticky. When I realized my error, I just took it off, and totally soaked it, and re applied it and it was a perfect application. I don't see how you can get bubbles, with the small amount of liquid, the bubble easily slide out. And you can slide it around to get perfect placement also.

Oh crap, crap, crap. I got the thing on perfectly but there's loads of dust under it. Is there any way to remove and wash it?

best tip i can give for putting it on flawlessly is first, wash your hands with washing up liquid. Then dry them, then wash them again and dry them. Make sure you get under your fingernails clean and spotless.
Second. Make sure you are working in a super clean environment. IE not under the cats azz. Hoover the table you are working on at least 5 mins before you are about to apply the shield to help reduce dust. Get a mist sprayer, the kind you spray cleaning product from. fill it with clean water and spray a few squirts over the area you are going to work. This should reduce airborne particles. When you clean the screen of the archos before application, use a microfiber cloth to prevent any particles floating around. Stick a piece of PVC tape over the speaker hole. Hold the power button to complete shutdown. Important that its not on suspend as it will still have a current going through it and using liquid on electricity isnt a good thing. Use the spray that comes with the IS, its just water with a tiny ammount of washing liquid in should you run low just top it up. Spray it all over your fingers, make sure they are covered, hold the shield and spray the one side, then peel off the sticky. spray loads on that side too. basically anything that will come in contact with the IS should have spray on it. Spray one squirt from a distance onto the screen of ur archos. apply the shield. There should be sufficient solution under it to allow you to gently slide it around into position. when you have it where you want it use the microfiber cloth to absorb some of the solution thats on the screen then use the squeegee to push the rest of the solution and bubbles out from under it. There should be no bubbles under the shield. you may have a few very tiny ones but these will go over a few days as long as you dont mess with them. Use the cloth to clean up the rest of the solution and put the archos away for 24 hours. Leave it to settle. I know its tempting to play but 24 hours will soon pass and you will be greatful for that.

Ive applied all my IS to my 2 phones (screen), 1 PDA (screen), 2 Nintendo DS (full shields), 1 Zen Vision (full) 1 Zen V (full) 1 Archos 605 (screen) and my GPS Foretrex (screen) with flawless results using this method. The first was my zen vision and it had a few tiny bubbles near the top front corner and i was a bit conserned as it was my first one but after 2 days they had gone completely.

Follow these instructions for great results :)
