returning to home screen

At the bottom left is a return /bent arrow.
Of late this keeps flashing and returning to home screen
Any advice please
It clears after about 5 mins.

does it do it if rotated? that part of screen is probably issuing false touches.

Yes it still did it when I rotated to landscape
